How Do I Make Money with Avon?

Hello there,

Thank you for being here!  You may already be an Avon Representative, or you may be looking into the opportunity, I assume you are wondering, “How do I make money with Avon?”

As an Avon Representative you have the opportunity to earn multiple streams of income.  Every successful entrepreneur or business owner has multiple streams of income.  It’s like the old saying, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket!”  The more opportunities you take advantage of, the more money you are going to earn, and the more security you are going to have in your business.  If one area takes a small dip you still have other areas to earn from.

With Avon you earn multiple ways, (if you choose too).  You can manage your Avon business however you decide.  You can take advantage of all opportunities or only one!  It’s completely up to you.

The first way you earn money with Avon is through your personal sales. Customers will receive a new brochure from you every two weeks (per campaign).  The customer will select the products they would like, and they will submit their selections to you personally.Every two weeks on your “order date” you will collect and submit all your customer orders at once.When you submit your orders you will order your new brochures.When you deliver the customers order, you will ensure they have the next book in their order.The two week campaign cycle is great for our daily care product customers.  Naturally everyone needs shower gel, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, makeup, deodorant, after shave, cologne, and perfume, right?  Therefore as your customers products run out, they will need to replenish often.  This is your residual income with your personal sales!  Avon Representatives are at an advantage, our product is necessary, and runs out, which means your customers will come back! Based on the total amount of your order you will earn a certain percentage of the entire order (including your online sales).

For Example: a total order of 20 customers at $30 average order per customer gives you an order total of $600.  This puts you at the 40% earning level.  

40% of $600=$240 in two weeks (minus business tools)

Your Earnings Level: is based on order size, product category and sales achievement level, and applies to orders from your online store as well as YourAvon.com orders.

You’ll receive variable earnings, as shown above, on Beauty and Jewelry products, and fixed earnings on Fashion and Home products, which are indicated by the Variable Earnings symbol symbol in the brochure. Earnings on products with this symbol are 25% for members of the President’s Recognition Program and 20% for all other Representatives.

All products within the Avon brochure, Avon online, mark. Magalog, Outlet, Specialty or Novelty flyers, fundraisers, samples, sales tools and a portion of the price of Demonstration products (Demos) count toward Earnings Level. Starter Kits and recruiting tools do not count toward Earnings Level.

You earn money when customers shop through your web store!  This also counts toward the total sales for the relative campaign. Each Avon Representative is given a FREE website at sign up!  You can find your web store address here (if available and within policy you can customize your web store address):web office 2

For example: Total brochure sales are $350.  Additionally, you have had $200 in sales from your Web store which gives you an entire campaign sales of $550 in sales.  Therefore. you are now earning at the 40% earnings level.  Without your web store sales you were earning at the 35% level which would be 35% of $450= $122.50, however adding the extra $200 in web store sales increases your total sales to $550 which gives you an earnings of $220.80 at the 40% earnings level! In summary your face to face sales and your online sales are added together for your total campaign sales every two weeks.  The total sales puts you at a specific sales earnings level! You decide how much you want or need to earn! It is all up to you, Boss!

The third way and most lucrative way to earn money in my opinion and experience is through, Avon leadership.  Simply sharing the Avon opportunity with others.  As an Avon Representative we not only offer state of the art products, we also offer a state of the art opportunity to start your very own business!

What is a Qualified New Recruit Bonus?

Lastly, as an Avon Representative you can build your business and give back to a great cause, with Avon Fundraising!

It is up to you as a Representative if you see fundraising as a “Money earner.”

When an Avon Representative registers a fundraiser it is automatically tagged, at the 50% earnings level of total sales no matter the amount.  This means between the Representative and the organization, you can decide which percentage of the earnings they would like to agree on.  I generally offer 40% as the 10% pays for flyers for the fundraiser, bags,  supplies, and other various materials and tools needed to run a successful fundraiser.  And….. of course your time, costs you money as well.

For Example: A total fundraiser sale = $5000.00.  50% of the total sales is $2500, this is the earnings from the fundraiser the other 50% pays Avon for the Product.  

Of that $2500 you have decided to give the organization 35% which equals $1675.00 for the organizationYou hold back 15%, for your time, materials, and business tools needed to run the fundraiser. You keep $875.00. 

In my opinion, when offering a fundraiser I like to give as much as I can to the organization without costing my business money.  This is why I offer 40%.

The biggest win in my opinion is of course giving back to a great cause, and the amount of new customers you will gain running a fundraiser.

When the organization is pleased, the positive word of mouth will surely book new fundraisers through you!

10 Tips to Creating Residual Income With Your Avon Business!

BE SOCIAL! I always say, and strongly believe there is absolutely no growth in comfort zones!  Yes, believe it or not I AM AN INTROVERT!  However, I certainly cannot be successful and sell product or an opportunity, EVEN IF SOMEONE NEEDED IT, if I do not socialize!  You must show up everywhere you go!  What do I mean?  Start practicing, say hello to 10 strangers today in your daily routine, share your success with me below in the comments, I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR!  Talk to the person in line next to you at the grocery store, talk to the cashier, compliment the women at the bank, talk to the secretary at the school when you pick up your children, wave at the bus driver when he/she drops the kids off, strike up a conversation with your neighbor that you still don’t know after living there for 10 years!  Get the conversation started!  Plant seeds everywhere you go!  Other wise you become the person no one sees, or hears!  Be memorable, and thoughtful, remember what people tell you, even if you have to take a note here and there so you remember!  Remember what they’ve mentioned and ask them how that is going the next time you see them!  They will appreciate your kind and considerate demeanor.   Begin creating and nourishing GENUINE relationships with people every where you go, and you will quickly see your network grow!  Once a familiarity and relationship is formed you will feel more comfortable offering your new acquaintance or maybe even new friend an Avon brochure, or recomend a product to them based on your new knowledge of what they may like or need! I don’t just mean face to face! Use technology and social media to grow your business!  It is called Social networking for a reason you know!  I think sometimes people forget that, and they simply post and scroll through ONLY looking at other posts!  STOP DOING THAT! Every time you get a birthday notification, wish them all a happy birthday!  Comment words of encouragement and kindness when someone is having a bad day, compliment them on their on their family photo, congratulate the graduate, wish speedy recovery to those that are not well!  Reply to people when they comment on your posts!  Do a monthly, “Who is celebrating their  birthday this month?” post.  Inbox them to send you their address for FREE birthday samples and a flashy birthday message in the mail!  Keep the conversation going!  The more your name pops into their mind and on their social media the more they will see and be reminded of you, oh and by the way your business!  Post recognition, and gratitude for customers that purchase from you!  People love seeing their name especially in a positive light!  Whats more, their friends and family on social media will see the post you tagged them in and this will strike their interest…. MORE CUSTOMER or TEAM MEMBERS!  It goes on and on, think of all the people your network knows that you don’t know, and how many people their network knows, and on and on! THEY WILL REMEMBER YOU!
  3. BE STRATEGIC! Push yourself even further!  Make a plan daily that will increase your lead bank! Ask 5 people TODAY and EVERYDAY, for their contact information, record their information in your phone for safe keeping!  I find asking for their phone number and/or Facebook name is most successful!  Follow up that evening or the next day, too much time in between meeting them and the follow up will tarnish the freshness of interest and your conversation!  It seems everyone has Facebook these days!  Don’t be afraid…… simply say something like, “I’ve really enjoyed connecting/meeting with you!  Why don’t you write down your contact info and I’ll follow up with you before the next order goes in, I have some awesome samples here you can try in the meantime!” 
  4. BE PERSISTENT! NEVER QUIT approaching new people,  we all, EVEN TOP TOP TOP sellers and sales leaders hear NO, on a daily basis, the Representatives that continue on, are the ones that are successful, you’ll never be successful if you quit.  Do not be discouraged, they are not rejecting YOU personally, it just may not be for them right now, but people and their lives change, and you have planted a seed!  I have had many customers and recruits order and/or sign up on my team years later, because their lives changed, their income changed, and they remembered me approaching them!  MOVE ON, do not miss the opportunity with the next potential customer or team member, because you heard a no!  
  5. BE EXCITED! Isn’t it exciting that you can create your own schedule!  Isn’t it exciting that you can earn as much money as you want, have the ability to achieve and go on all expense paid vacations, even multiple vacations a year after year, mentor and empower others to do the same, work from home, and so much more!  Isn’t it exciting that you get first dibs on industry leading, world class beauty and health and wellness products!  I thinks its THRILLING, and a HUGE opportunity for EVERYONE! Be excited and share the excitement in your daily routine, share the excitement on social media!  Share testimonials of the products you have tried and and the benefits you have received from the products and the business!  Be loud and proud of your business!
  6. BE AVON FLASHY! BE YOUR OWN AVON ADVERTISEMENT! BE A WALKING, TALKING BILLBOARD FOR YOUR VERY OWN BUSINESS!  You have your own business that LITERALLY offers something for almost every aspect of your life!  Why would you pay full price at a retail store for things like, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, vitamins, makeup, skin care, hair care products, candles, jewelry, and SO MUCH MORE when you can get them at a discount FROM YOURSELF!  Wear your own product and I bet you will find people complimenting your jewelry and Avon products that you are wearing!  The perfect conversation starter and opportunity to offer your products and/or Avon opportunity!  Create an opportunity for yourself! YOU GOT THIS! Share your love of your Avon business and products!
  7. BE AN ACTIVE LISTENER AND SUGGESTIVE!  I often find a common issue in direct sales is that the direct seller is doing 90% talking and 10% listening!  If we switch those percentages, and listen 90% and talk 10% our customers will tell us exactly what they need and want!  We must also ask open ended questions that give the customer or lead an opportunity to share more than 1-2 word answers.  Be careful not to be directive with your questions.  For example, “Do you have dry skin?” The only way someone could answer this question is , “Yes” or “No.” Let’s try a more open ended version of that question!  “What type of skin do you have, and what skin care concerns do you have?”  This question needs to be answered in detail, they must give more than one word answers!  It gives them a chance to converse with you and share much more about their skin!  The more they share, the more material you have to work with, to then recomend products they can benefit from! In the first example, the Representative is too focused on getting to an answer so they can sell a product!  In the second example the Representative is simply trying to get more information about the customers skin, and LISTENING with out asking too many questions, or giving their opinions.  LESS TALKING MORE LISTENING!  The customers concerns will direct you to the right products to offer them!  The product will ideally take care of the issue they shared, and naturally they will be satisfied with the benefits and become a repeat customer!  Help your customers solve their concern, and they will return! 
  8. BE AN AVON PRODUCT EXPERT!  Daily care products are a gateway to a huge business!  I don’t know a single person without skin, and everyone bathes!  So everyone is your potential customer, and what is even better….. they will run out and buy more over and over again!  We are lucky enough to be in a business that offers products that everyone needs in their daily routine, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, makeup, deodorant, and above all, SKINCARE!! YAY FOR AVON REPRESENTATIVES!  This means you can offer your business to EVERYONE! Why would they go anywhere else when you offer word class innovative products, with personalized service at an extremely reasonable price! Know your products and their benefits!  Know them by using them!  Your personal and honest testimonial is your greatest selling tool! Avon even offers their Representatives a FREE Skin Care Adviser Quiz and Vitamin Quiz for their customers!  This tool allows the customer to answer a series of quick questions that will direct them to the best products for them based on the answers they provide! 
  9.   10. BE CONSISTENT!  The competitive edge that each Avon Representative has is their ability to deliver impeccable customer service to their customers!  Customers can have a personalized shopping service through YOU, their Avon Representative!  Know your order dates, and delivery dates.  Have a solid calendar that promotes efficiency, and consistent behaviors that your customers can rely on.  The day you submit your order, your new books should labeled and ready to share!  Time waits for no one, do not waste a single second of your full 2 week Avon selling campaign cycle!  Be sure your customers know your dates as well, never waiver from commitments you make with your business and your customers or team members.  If you do not take your business seriously, your customers will not either.  They will quickly learn they cannot rely on you! Imagine your customer is ordering a gift for someone, and they do not receive their gift in time, due to your inconsistency.  I’d imagine they will no longer continue ordering through you.  To create a residual income you must be consistent and reliable! 
  11. BE GENUINE!  Take a genuine interest in your customers and team members lives.  Get to know them outside of Avon, let them get to know you!  Ask them how they are feeling, stop in to say hello, have coffee or ice cream with them once and a while!  Gift wrap their products, get in tune with the theme for the upcoming holiday!  If Valentine’s Day is coming place a heart sticker on each invoice! Get to know their interests and hobbies.  Do NOT become a product focused business, be and remain a people and relationship driven business!  Create genuine long lasting relationships and the business will come, and stay!

BUILDING: Average Order per Customer!

I would like to shed some MAJOR light on a huge money-making opportunity for YOU every campaign!  It is called “Average Order Size.”  
So what does this mean?
Every campaign you place your order, right?  If you take the number of customers and divide it by your total sales that campaign you will have your average order size.  Let’s use the example below to show you how to earn more money in your business with a few small easy changes!
Example:  Campaign 2 you have 10 customers and the total order is $200, therefore if you divide 10 customers by $200 in sales that is about $20 per customer.

A $200 order you earn at the 30% earnings level!  30% of $200= $64 earnings for YOU!
Now imagine if you took a look at each order your customer submitted to you, and followed up with all friends and family each campaign and actually made suggestions for them based on what you know about them!  Imagine each customer order was around $30 a campaign!  Additionally, due to your impeccable and consistent following up and asking your current customers for referrals you now have 15 customers at $30 each!
15 customers times $30 each = $450 in sales which gets you to the 35% earnings level which means you would earn $157.50 that campaign!
Now lets take it up a notch, because you really want to clear debt in the new year and take over some payments with your AVON business!
Say due to all your up selling and product suggestions you still had 15 customers, but their average order went up to $40!
That is 15 customers times $40 average order which = $600 in sales and places you in the 40% earnings level which means you earn $240 that campaign!
OK we are getting somewhere, you are really learning how to cross category sell, and up sell, by getting to know your customers and what they need and like!
You now have 20 customers with an average order size of $50 becuase each customer is ordering the A Box you have suggested for only $10 with their $40 order!
This means …….. you have a campaign sale of $1000 and you are earning at the 40% earning level which is a whopping $400 in your pocket!  
Two campaigns a month = $800 in your pocket each month!  
What would you pay with that?  Mortgage?  Cell Phone bill?  Car payment? Groceries?  Day Care?

What Is Your Mission?

As an entrepreneur it is important to always stay challenged, and continually learning new skills.  Especially when you are mentoring others to grow their business, and leadership skills as well!  How you coach and mentor others is how they will coach and mentor others.  Before you know it you have an entire culture centered around a belief system YOU created, good or bad.

That said, I am currently enrolled in a Coaching Program.  When you hear coach I am sure most people think of sports team.  Well this is a different area of coaching, but honestly the same principles apply!  I am referencing coaching for business and leadership growth.

In fact I recently read an amazing book on leadership, written by a former head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Mike Smith, and Bestselling Author of The Energy Bus, Jon Gordon.  I strongly recommend you read this book TODAY, as I have looked at my business in a completely different way.  I am excited to see how you analyze your business, team, and strategies after reading.

Smith, shares stories of strategies, winnings, and YES, even losses.  He reflects on the strategies that brought the team big wins and those that brought big losses.  As a leader it is so important to analyze both wins and losses and the path you took to get there.  Understanding the path good or bad can help you avoid next or repeat next time.

In Chapter 1 on page 16, Smith, references a phrase, “Focus on the Root not the Fruit.”

Want to take a guess at what that means? ( Please leave comments on this blog below to start a discussion.) 

MY idea of what, Smith, was referencing. Just like briefly discussed above, you must understand, the ROOT of how you got where you are (the FRUIT or end result).

Smith, mentions how, “Success can be your worst enemy if you allow it to change your culture and approach.”  Well that is certainly a strange thought isn’t it!?  Success should be a good thing right!?

Of course success is a great thing, when we remember our, “Roots.” Why you started your business, what your mission is, what the goals are, why you are here.

Success can sometimes lead us a stray from these important values.  The focus suddenly turns to the win (Fruit) which is the end result rather than the path (Root) that gets you to the win/loss (fruit).  Before you know it your entire team and culture is focused on winning ONLY, rather than the “Root.” Once you have lost your mission, you have lost your purpose.

Losing your purpose can be a scary thing, you may start trying strategies that burn you or your team out just for that win.  You may even start going against your code of ethics to bring in the win.  This can alter your character and lead to major burn out.  It is crucial to remain centered on your, “Roots.”

Success will always follow, because you will  measure success differently.  Success might look different to you when you remain focused on your mission/purpose.

For example: You may find yourself thinking, “Wow, great job team we may not have won the game, but we played with heart, we played with passion, we played with dignity, and everyone of us left better than we started. Thank you for playing like a unified team, and working hard!”  Rather than, “We didn’t win, practice 7 days a week until the next win, that is mandatory.”  This leads to burn out.

I can remember a time where I as so focused on getting to a final number that I wasn’t taking the time to get to know new team members, and their “Why for starting their own business.”  In turn I had no personal relationship with any of my team members and I lost them just as fast as I gained them.  Simply because I lost my focus of, “Why I was here.”  To share an opportunity, like I had to build a home based business, giving families an opportunity to spend more time together.

Getting to know my team and their purpose, helping them achieve their dreams and goals, is ultimately what gets me where I want to be.  This to me is winnning.

“Be strong and Courageous”

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

Hello there!  Thank you for being here! I am honored to tell you my story, and hope that you find encouragement and inspiration from my story.

I chose to title this post, “Be strong and Courageous,” a verse from Joshua 1:9 because this verse inspired me to take my, “Beautiful leap of faith.”

I found many times in life I had made decisions out of fear of failure, I am sure you have done this as well. This time, I chose to make my decision on my faith that I could, rather than my fear that I could not.  You see fear is a false idea of what COULD happen, not what really IS or IS GOING TO happen.

Reflect back on your life, has there been a time, or an opportunity presented to you, that you didn’t take, out of fear you might fail?

Did you think, “What if I succeed?”

I hope after reading this, you will start to see opportunities differently.

In May of 2007, after finishing my Associates Degree in Equestrian Studies, I had aspirations to be a Horse Trainer and ride the Quarter Horse Show circuit.  So naturally, I took a job with a World Class Trainer, specializing in Western Pleasure and reining,  I was in my prime….. or at least thought I was.  One afternoon while riding one of the client show horses, one of the 16 I rode daily, I was injured badly.

Long story short, June 14 2007, the horse reared, and flipped over directly on top of me.  When these things happen there is no time to get out of the way.  Stuck in the saddle, all the force and weight of this beautiful, large animal came crashing down on me.  The next thing I remember, I was waking up in a hospital bed with a report of a broken pelvis, neck and back fractures.  I quickly realized this young dream of mine wasn’t going to pay the bills, with a broken spine.  My determination and resiliency landed me back on horses in a back brace in August of 2007.  Yes, when you are young, you are fearless and seem to heal much faster.

Out of FEAR, between Associates and Bachelors Programs, I tried a different major, Nursing, I felt this was a “Safe” choice as nurses will always find work.  Well, that didn’t pan out either, I quickly realized, I AM NOT A NURSE!

Out of FEAR, I went back to what I knew, the horses.  I finished my Bachelors Degree in December of 2009, in Equine Science, Breaking and Training, in a Western Specialization.  Although, this time I remembered my accident in June of 2007.   I decided, the safest and most reasonable way to use my Equine Science Degree would be to teach the study of Horses, at a College, or University.  So I continued on to a Masters Program, for Career and Technical Education.  I did not thrive in this program either.

Failure after failure, I stumbled through what I thought was right, trying to avoid what COULD go wrong.  In doing this I became very ill, and overwhelmed, to the point that the University, would not allow me to take on more classes.  This was my biggest failure to date, in my eyes.  I could not see past this HUGE failure.

I worked many different jobs to pay the bills, bar-tending, and waiting tables in high end fine dining restaurants. I even worked as a CNA, and PCA.  All of which I never felt, were my “Forever job.”  Working in many different service industry jobs, I was gaining skills I didn’t realize I was gaining.  Skills such as, customer service, small business management, marketing, up selling, or cross category selling, etc.. Having gained these skills, I decided to take on a home based business! I decided to become an, Avon Representative in 2009.  I never knew this would be my “Forever career.”  This choice, changed my life forever.

I quickly excelled and became a Top seller, and recruited a large team simply by sharing my love of beauty products, and the company mission.  I remember thinking, “Wow, just being me, has really grown my business.”  In 2012 I had my first baby, Gabriel Alexander.  Becoming an Avon Representative, afforded me the opportunity to build a home based business.  This meant I was able to stay home with my baby, never missing first words, first steps, or any major milestones. This, to me, was a great blessing.

In 2013, at a top sellers recognition gala, I was approached by my District Sales Manager.  It was here that I met one of the most influential, and inspiring women in my life, who remains an integral part of my life to this day.  She mentioned to me a corporate opening, as a sister District Sales Manager.  After a series of long, in depth interviews, I GOT THE JOB!  However, this meant I had to give up my home based business, to work a corporate role, mentoring other Avon Representatives.  I thought, “Oh no give up my business I worked so hard to build?” But I also thought, wow a corporate career!”  I took the job.

As a District Sales Manager, I traveled all over, to places I never imagined I would see.  I managed large districts both virtually and traditionally in Hawaii, California, and all over upstate NY.  In my first year, I achieved highest honors, the Circle of Excellence, which is for an elite group of high performing District Sales Managers. In May 2015, I was sent to a celebration in Maui, Hawaii for this achievement.

On July 4th, 2015 I married my best friend, the father of our beautiful son, Gabriel.  Having achieved so many goals, we were able to fund our beautiful, vintage, Victorian wedding!  I was officially, Mrs. Bonaventura, honored and blessed to say the least!  We were officially a family!

Prior, to our wedding, I had achieved a trip for my husband and I to Cancun, Mexico due to my performance as a District Sales Manager.  As a young family, we certainly could not afford a fancy honey moon, so this was perfect!  A fully funded all inclusive trip to Cancun, Mexico!  Thanks Avon!

In August of 2015, as my career was taking off, I was asked to take an elevated role, in our corporate office in NYC.  WOW, what an honor, a young girl like me, with a degree in Equine Science?  No way, they must be mistaken!  At this point I had received so much recognition, and achieved so many goals, I never thought I would ever achieve, I thought, I CAN DO THIS!  A decision on FAITH that I COULD DO IT! Not FEAR that I could not.

This was most definitely the highlight of my career.  I traveled to NYC each week Monday through Wednesday and worked from home Thursday and Friday.  I was able to bring my family some weeks!  Which was a treat!

I sat weekly in meetings with executives I had only seen on training videos, and read about!  I was now making decisions and being asked my opinion at a level I never thought I would be!  WOW!

I was flying high!  Traveling and learning!  Building my resume!  I couldn’t believe what I was experiencing!

Although I was so excited, and proud…. I can remember being in Orlando, at our National Conference, away from my family now for a week.  I had gone from Mexico, to Maui, NYC, and now Orlando in less than 2 months!  I was EXHAUSTED!  I was watching a Representative on stage sharing her story as an Avon Representative.  She too had started in 2009.  I started crying in the middle of the seminar.  How embarrassing!  I was suppose to be a strong, career woman, with HIGH emotional intelligence, right?! I was listening to her words thinking, “Oh my gosh that could have been me”, I miss my family so much!  It was unbearable, I had to excuse myself.  I thought I can’t believe I gave up my home based business!  At the time I couldn’t think past my sorrow.  I was FEARFUL I had made the wrong choice!  I now realize had I not gone through all that, I would never have achieved all I had in my career, and would never be where I am today!

I quickly pulled myself together and finished what I went to Orlando to do!

My position was extended multiple times.  I continued my role and worked very hard to achieve all of my goals.  One week when traveling back to my hotel room from my last meeting, I wasn’t quite feeling myself.  As women, we know when things are just, OFF.  So …… I stopped into the drugstore on my walk to my room, and purchased a pregnancy test.

Yes, you guessed it I was pregnant with our second son, Elijah Champion.  I remember being scared and happy all at once!  Wow, another baby!  What about my career?!  What will my husband think?!  What will Gabriel think?!  Will he be upset that he is not the baby anymore?!  Nonetheless, I traveled home, and celebrated with my family!

I kept the pregnancy a secret for a month or so from my colleagues.  I was asked to stay in NYC and extend my position again, while I was honored, I was torn.  I needed to be with my family every night!  My husband and I decided I would stay a little longer to achieve our final goal of purchasing a home for our growing family.

I continued achieving goals both personally and professionally, and we were able to buy our first home!  Our very own home!  I was signing closing paper 8 and 1/2 months pregnant!

After achieving this, I decided to go back to being a District Sales Manager from my home office.  I worked as a virtual manager, which meant I never had to leave my home office, and could enjoy my family while working! What a blessing!15493844_10210049604829772_1963314295271177994_o.jpg

Shortly after that, I gave birth to our second baby boy, Elijah Champion!  He was perfect just like his brother!

I loved being able to work from home, and be with my family every day! I continued working this role until July of 2017, when Avon corporate decided to restructure!  I hadn’t known at the time that this would be the BEST thing that could have ever happened to me and my family!

All field management was given the choice to re-interview for new Leadership Coaching roles or move on from the company.  I went through the processes, and was selected to be one of the 150 or so chosen out of around 600-700 field managers.  I never thought I would ever say, I am honored, but no thank you.  However that is just what I did.

I thought and thought about what to do, and discussed it over and over again with family.

Remember, I now have two babies, and a mortgage, along with all other regular bills, and the torturous, STUDENT LOANS!

While I loved my career and tenure with Avon, and certainly grew beyond measure both personally and professionally, I reflected back on my tears in Orlando!  I remembered thinking, “Oh no, What have I done, I gave up my business!”  I remembered driving into the city every week in tears until my first meeting on Monday morning.

That’s when I knew it was time.  It was time to restart my home based business!  Only this time, I had all the corporate training and knowledge I needed to build a HUGE business FAST! So that is just what I did!

Here I am years later in the same position I was with my first son, at home now with my second son, Elijah!  Never missed a milestone with either!  How about that!  It is so funny where life takes you!

I took my, “Beautiful leap of faith.”

Today my business is thriving, I am adding new team members weekly, and attending events, and gaining new customers every day!  All our bills are being paid just fine!

You see emotions, and instances happen in perfect timing, as guidance to what may be coming.  I learned that when I reflected back on Orlando.  When your heart is in the right place things unfold just as they should!  Today I am an effervescent enthusiastic entrepreneur with a beautiful Avon business that I can one day pass on to my children.  It is our family business, all ours!

The horses remain a huge part of our family, only I enjoy them as a hobby now, rather than a career.  I was 7 months pregnant here, Elijah!

I hope I have inspired you to follow your dreams, do not be afraid of the journey.  It’s a strategically laid out plan, you just may not be aware of that yet!  Enjoy the process, and remember to make a decision once and a while on FAITH over FEAR!
